This is a super easy way to make a big impact!! I first saw this on “Jessiegirlhome” on Instagram! She had done this in her bedroom and painted it black! It was such a cool statement, I knew I had to try! Everyone’s wall size is different, here is how we figured out mine! We took the width of the wall, subtracted the width of the 2 boards (for the outside trim) then divided it until we got a number that worked! You also have to take inter consideration the width of your boards too.

Getting the boards up was super easy, all you need is a nail gun and level! The hardest part was trying to decide what color to paint it!

After the pieces were up, we filled all the nail holes with putty and sanded them down! As you can see… I had a really hard time deciding on color!

What I ended up doing was mixing the whole gallon of green paint with about 3/4 black paint to make it a super dark green!!
