DIY Olive Tree (Only $50!)

This DIY olive tree was such a fun and easy project to do! Allison & I have both seen this done by numerous bloggers and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity. We are all suckers for the new Stuido Mcgee line at Target and it was just one of those things that we just couldn’t justify spending $150 on. SO, we DIY’d it. We got the trees from free….thanks for being a hoarder mom & dad…. First we took wire cutters to all the old branches and then drilled pilot hole for new branches to go into.

We got new olive branches from Hobby Lobby, literally cleared the store out! We got different size branches so that there was some variation on the tree. There was no hot glue needed, just drill downward on the tree so that they stay in there nice and tight!

This is before what it looked like!
